Summary of All About WA border & PCBT Plan – Perth, Australia

Western Australia Border

WA is one of the safest places in the world! 
WA border is opening on 5 February 2022.
Fully vaccinated international students from offshore Australia and other Australian states will be able to travel to Western Australia from 5 February 2022, provided they meet the State’s entry requirements.

Interstate arrivals will be required to:
  • be double dose vaccinated (for eligible people)
  • return a negative PCR test 72 hours before departure
  • undertake a test on arrival in WA (to be phased out, pending a review)
International arrivals will be required to:
  • be double dose vaccinated (for eligible people)
  • return a negative PCR test 72 hours before departure
  • undertake a test on arrival (to be phased out, pending a review)
To prepare for their return to WA, international students should:

PCBT students with visa granted (Enrolled):

If your CoEs commencing Jan or Feb 2022, contact your travel agent / book a ticket for your travel arrangements to PCBT Perth campus from 7 Feb 2022 or later. We are waiting for you!
From 15 December 2021, fully vaccinated student visa holders can travel to Australia without needing to apply for a travel exemption.
Upon arrival in Australia, your entry into a specific State will be dependent on its border arrangements. Please note that Western Australia’s border will not be lifted any earlier than Saturday 5 February 2022.

PCBT future students

Apply now and get ready to come to Western Australia to start your studies in semester 1 (7 Feb 2022) or later (April, July, Oct 2022) if preferred.
  • Select your preferred course/s (fees and intakes)
  • Note: Minimum deposit to get enrolled at PCBT is currently:
    • AU$2,000 for Offshore Assessment level 1 and 2 nationalities.
    • AU$2,000 for all nationalities currently in Australia (Onshore applicants).
    • First 6-month fees for Offshore Assessment level 3 nationalities. See list of AL3 nationals on https://pcbt.wa.edu.au/special-admission-requirements/
  • Apply directly to PCBT or visit your agent.
  • Get enrolled at PCBT (Receive eCoEs)
  • Apply for your student visa.

Those applicants with Offer in hand (offered a place at PCBT):

If you have been offered a place at PCBT and you have not proceeded to accept it and paid deposit, ask me ( admissions@pcbt.wa.edu.au ) to reissue a new offer letter. However, all offers with the expiry date fallen between 9/12/2021 – 16/12/2021 are still valid offers and can proceed with making deposit and the rest of documents (if any).

  • Applications for Enrolments can be submitted 24/7/365 through our online enrolment
  • While you won’t be able to speak to us on the phone during the break, our online resources including online services will still be available.
  • PCBT’s current enrolled students are advised to contact Faizan Tasneem at 0452 511 399 or Ryan Rahimi at 0420329380 in case of emergencies.
  • Perth VET and ELICOS Students/Trainers will resume their classes as per their training plan/timetables (week starting 10/1/2022).
  • Currently Overseas and Interstate VET and ELICOS Students will commence their classes week starting 7/2/2022 or later.
